This professional development session is rooted in Dr. Shawn Ginwright's book, The Four Pivots: Reimagining Justice, Reimagining Ourselves, though no prior knowledge of the contents of the book is required.
In Pivot #2, participants will explore the difference between the impact that transactional and transformative interactions have with the students and families we work with in our school community. We will reflect on how to apply skills like empathy, active listening, and vulnerability to foster deeper and more inclusive relationships. The ultimate goal is environments that create environments that support shared leadership and healing-centered dialogue, moving beyond superficial exchanges to build authentic and lasting connections. Who Should Attend: All FSUSD staff who have completed the Healing-Centered Engagement Certification and are looking to reconnect with their passion and purpose in this important work. The session has been made for staff members who are interacting with students at a school site. More

Users involved with student enrollment in Aeries–at the sites and at the district office–are requested to attend one of two extremely important Mid-Year/Pre-Enroll workshops for 2026. The goal of these workshops is to provide a thorough understanding of the pre-enroll process, which begins in late January, and the automated pre-enroll transfer system, which runs until the end of the school year. A Q&A session (answers to questions you may have about any Aeries topic) is included.
Clerical only–this is not a training for teachers. You will not need an electronic device. More
