This training is intended for all paraeducators and teachers, regardless of grade assignment or skill level. Courses will be offered through the “Master Teacher” online training platform. The purpose of this professional learning is to strengthen teachers and paraeducators’ capacity to support students effectively in both academic and social emotional areas.
IMPORTNAT INFORMATION FOR CLASSIFIED EMPLOYEES Pursuant to the applicable collective bargaining agreement, employees may submit timesheets for compensation or elect to receive professional growth credit for completed trainings. Effective March 26, 2026, employees may submit timesheets/professional growth for up to a maximum of 20 trainings per school year, selected at their discretion. NCI is considered the worldwide standard for crisis prevention and intervention training. With a core philosophy of providing for the Care, Welfare, Safety, and Security of everyone involved in a crisis situation, the program’s proven strategies give education the skill to safely and effectively respond to anxious, hostile, or violent behavior. This training includes in-person hands-on training to practice and demonstrate mastery of restrictive (physical) interventions. Please wear closed toe shoes and comfortable attire.
