NCI is considered the worldwide standard for crisis prevention and
intervention training. With a core philosophy of providing for the Care, Welfare, Safety, and
Security of everyone involved in a crisis situation, the program’s proven strategies give
education the skill to safely and effectively respond to anxious, hostile, or violent behavior. This
training includes in-person hands-on training to practice and demonstrate mastery of restrictive
(physical) interventions. Please wear closed toe shoes and comfortable attire.

You are invited to attend one of two Aeries New-Year workshops. Topics will include: Adding Students/Importing from Aeries Online Registration (AIR), Maintaining Student Information for CALPADS, No-Showing/Inactivating Students, Maintaining Attendance and Enrollment, Grade Reporting, Independent Study, Maintaining Student Addresses and Emergency Contacts, Maintaining Teachers and Classes, Creating Temporary Aeries Accounts for Short-term Subs, Maintaining Student Discipline, the Parent Portal, the Data Quality Scorecard, and Q&A (answers to questions you may have about any Aeries topic).
You are welcome to bring your own device, but this is not a “hands-on” training. More

Designed for all school staff (classified and certificated). This 2-day training provides a foundation for individuals interested in using restorative practices with their students and deepening their understanding of its roots in restorative practices and effectiveness in achieving positive behavioral outcomes. The training is experiential and provides skills practice with community building, use of circles, affective statements, restorative questions and impromptu dialogue which are essential elements in the restorative practice continuum.
