NCI is considered the worldwide standard for crisis prevention and intervention training. With a core philosophy of providing for the Care, Welfare, Safety, and Security of everyone involved in a crisis situation, the program’s proven strategies give education the skill to safely and effectively respond to anxious, hostile, or violent behavior. This training includes in-person hands-on training to practice and demonstrate mastery of restrictive (physical) interventions. Please wear closed toe shoes and comfortable attire.





*Prior to training, participants will need to complete a two-hour online module, and pick up NCI workbook from Special Education in the District Office 7:30am-4:30pm. A link and code will be provided to complete the online module.

This training covers the nuts and bolts of the 22-23 Summative ELPAC test administration. Participants will review the state guidelines as well as become familiar with the Directions for Administration (DFA) documents and Test Administrator Interface for ELPAC. This training is required for all test examiners who will be administering either group tests for Reading, Listening, and Writing, or who will be administering the Speaking assessment one-on-one.

Target audience includes both classified and certificated staff who will be administering Summative ELPAC. Please bring a device with a Chrome browser and easy access to district email and Google drive.
